Welsh Touring Vets desperately seeking game
A team of veterans - known as ‘Ugly Tackle’ , mostly 45 + based in the Swansea area, are having a couple of days tour in Bristol and are looking for a fixture. Can anyone help!!! They are due in Bristol Friday 19th Jan and would hope for a Saturday game. They’ll pay any costs if 3G etc. if you fancy it, call Richard Holland Tel 07971 795790
2017/18 Fixtures out
The 2017/18 fixtures are now published. Please note that, following the AGM, there will be a strict clampdown on cup ties, which MUST be played by the dates given, or forfeited by the team(s) that fails to comply.
Note also that the cup final date has been arranged and WILL be played on that date or I serve notice to quit on principal :)
A small further note - a couple of clubs have more than one team (i.e. Weston),and have asked for fixture dates for those clubs to be staggered as they have a cross-over of players. I have given them a few days to suggest alternative dates and I will amend these shortly. If your club knows it has problems fulfilling a fixture on a certain date - i.e due to a wedding/tour etc - let me know by 31st July and I will select another date.
I therefore suggest clubs wait until 31st July for any further date changes prior to confirming games/changing game dates.
I have hopefully avoided all "black" Sundays...Mothers Day, Easter Sunday etc...
Casuals league AGM, Wednesday June 28th, 7.30 at the Lawns. League fees of 50 pounds per team will be payable either by cheque before the AGM or on the night itself. Cheques should be made payable to 'Bristol Casuals League' and sent to 2 College Road, Fishponds, Bristol BS162HN. All clubs need to send a representative to the AGM. If you have any agenda items or topics for discussion at the AGM, please pass these on to a member of the committee. If you have not entered Corinthian scores for any of your games then please do so before the results cut off, which is sunday June 11th. We hope that you have enjoyed this season and look forward to seeing many of you at the AGM,
