"LA Codgers struggled with injuries and availabilty of regulars for this game, which meant the ref ended up having to play and Red Star had to provide a ref for part of the first half. To their credit Red Star did not complain and the game was played in a good spirit with LA 1-0 up at half time. The second half was fairly even until the Red Star keeper struggled to keep out a low shot and then a Karl Connelly run into the box resulted in a penalty, which he tucked into the top corner. A flood of goals for LA occured in the last 15 mins, with the pick being a Glen Schmidt screamer from a Paul Fitzgerald cross. Thanks to Nick Evans for stepping in to ref and Red Star for their patience and attitude throughout the game. Man of the match was the versatile Mark Watson. "
Red Star Bedminster Report:
" Not a good result for RSB
Paying the price for not having a 1st rate goaly as the other tream noticed this and 4 goals in the last 10 made the scoreline a bit unfair. A little unhappy with the showboating and attitude of the winning side when they were running away with it but I suppose that's football"
