"A hard fought battle with neither team giving an inch. This did make it a bit niggly at times by both teams. But this didn't detract from a really good football match with both teams playing nice football.
Chew are a good bunch of lads and great to see so many of them back at The Plough and smiling."
Chew Magna 45's Report:
" A very close, hard match which got feisty as players from both sides lost their cool. Chew went one down after a contentious penalty, but equalised with a composed finish from Smith. Chew got caught cold at the the start of the second half, with an uncharacterstic mistake by Keen in goal who otherwise had an excellent game, then Chew gave away another penalty (completely justified this time) and were 3-1 down within 5 minutes. Somehow Chew regained their composure and battled hard, first Lewis pulled one back after calmly rounding the goalkeeper and then Molter equalised with a fizzing drive from outside the area. For the next 20 minutes Chew were camped in the Easton half but were then finally beaten by a free kick driven through the wall. Ultimately the Easton keeper was the difference in a very tight game with several brilliant reaction saves when Chew could have gone ahead or equalised at the death. And he layed on soup and bread in his pub after the game as well. Top guy."
