"Another week, another narrow defeat as swift managed to chuck away a 2 goal lead and so come away from Frys with nothing for their troubles "
Red Star 45's Report:
" Red Star fought back from 2-0 down to take all three points in a Sunday morning thriller. It was an epic comeback on a scale that probably takes some of the shine off of Tiger Woods’ 2019. Swift took the lead on the break with a smart finish from an acute angle. They then got behind the Red Star back line again shortly after to take an early 2-0 lead, largely against the run of play. Ric pulled one back with a smart 6 yard box finish and by half time belief had returned to the men in black and lurid green.
Red Star levelled early in the second half when Ric was on hand to tap in after Paul’s shot had hit both posts and dribbled out. Now looking to take charge of the game, Pablo was released down the left flank and put in a low cross for… HAT RIC to complete an unprecedented left footed triplet. Swift came back in to things strongly in the last 10 minutes and defeat for them must be hard to swallow. It appeared late on that they had snatched an equaliser, but their striker volunteered that he had kicked the ball from out of the goalie’s hands. It was a reasonably spirited game, a few feisty challenges and cross words, but this was a giant Corinthian gesture from the Swift striker. Red Star applaud wholeheartedly.
